She served as the cutest flower girl ever during my wedding, and I had to pause yesterday during the session and catch my breath: It’s so amazing to see her on the verge of adulthood and the promise of the rest of her life. She’s an amazing athlete, a straight-A student, and as beautiful as she is on the outside, she is even more so on the inside. It will be so bittersweet to see her graduate this year, knowing it means fewer family times we’ll see her, and all the obligations and travel and hectic schedules that I’m sure college will bring her. Her senior year, I’m sure, will be one to treasure for those reasons.
