I worked with this family in late June, and they may, quite possibly, be my winners for most sessions ever rescheduled. :) Originally, our session was scheduled for late April, but bad weather on seemingly every day that we rescehduled, and a sudden family illness that took them out of the country for a little while, definitely thwarted our attempts to get the session rescheduled soon after the first one was rained out (or was it too chilly for sundresses that day? Or both?).
It’s really my sincerest hope that the day I actually photographed their family–which was cloudless and warm–that connecting as a family and spending some joyful time with their kids helped bring a bit of sunshine to a difficult time for their family.
xox,

Mother Nature and I became friends again a few days ago.
It isn’t just the *gorgeous* weather this past week; it’s the fact that she finally allowed me to get this session completed. This family contacted me in early January wanting to mark their son’s first birthday with an outdoor session. “Not a problem,” I told them; “We’ll keep an eye on the forecast and get you scheduled on a mild winter weekend.” And then we got snow. Lots and lots of snow. And lots and lots of cold days. (Like I need to tell you this.) And the weeks went by, and I started to get nervous that our winter session was going to turn into a summer session; but then, as if the calendar officially saying spring was enough, Mother Nature warmed us up and gave us this amazing, picture-perfect photography weather.
I’d say they looked like they enjoyed the weather, too, huh?

Thanks so much guys! (And I told you, right? ;)
Whew! 27 sessions over 4 weeks. I was blessed working with such amazing families during one of the most beautiful times of the year. Granted, the scenery is gorgeous, but put once you add in some well-dressed and adorable kids? Ah, it’s a recipe for beautiful portraits!
Here’s a peek; one from each session. (And believe it or not, I’m shooting one more this week, so I’ll just have to add his in later this upcoming week. ;)

Thanks so very much to everyone!
