fall & holiday mini sessions ‘10 | pennsylvania outdoor photographer

Back by popular demand, (seriously–I’ve already got quite a few people booked! :) I’m happy to announce my fall and holiday mini session collections for ‘10. Have you seen this year’s sneak peek of cards? I’m so excited about this year’s line (samples forthcoming shortly) and they’re sure to compliment your family’s portraits beautifully! (You know you get classy press-printed-on-heavy-cardstock, professionally-designed cards from me. These are definitely not something you can pick up at your local Target!)

This year’s sessions consist of one collection (how’s that for simplicity?!) and will begin on October 1st and go through November 15th. But, as always, availability is limited. I encourage you to book early to make sure you’re a part of this very popular event!

Just like in years’ past, your mini session is not rushed or hurried as the next family waits impatiently over your shoulder. Your children and family are given plenty of time for your session: I’ve done the cramped mall studios right before the holidays, and I’ve certainly seen my share of frustrated and frazzled parents trying to get that perfect shot of their little ones in front of the tree. These sessions give you a wonderful opportunity to play with your children and capture real, authentic and beautiful portraits of your kids and family during the colorful and beautiful fall season–portraits that will remain timeless well beyond your tree coming down and all the returns being made.

To book your session, please contact me at 610.223.9700 or email me at jennifer@jenniferbretonphotography.com.

refresh | pennsylvania family photographer

I think my website was about as out of date as acid washed jeans (wait, are they back in?). After a year and a half of neglect, and being on my to-do list since January, I *finally* got a fresh look (and, not to be ignored, the blog got some new pictures in the header, too!)

I always feel a little sad weeding out old favorites and replacing them with newer ones–and how I wish I had room for everyone!–but I must tell you it was great fun going through all of my work from the past year and a half (and beyond–once I get digging in hard drives, it’s hard to stop!) Suffice to say, if you’ve been a client of mine, you’ve been on my mind the past few days!

With some random summer illness going around our house, plus the holidays, plus a full load of work, I still have several blog posts to catch up on, which I promise to get to very shortly. I know I’ve got some anxious clients out there waiting to see some sneak peeks (trust me–all good!)

In the meantime, check out the new and improved Jennifer Breton Photography and let me know what you think!

news, newborns & newly blessed | pennsylvania photographer

I’m a *little* behind in blogging after a pretty crazy busy week last week, so my apologies to my clients who have been waiting so patiently to see glimpses of their beautiful children…

But first, some big news: This month, I am beyond thrilled to be featured in Berks County Living. It’s funny how, 10 years ago, I was fresh out of college right at BCL’s infancy: I so desperately wanted to land a job writing for them, but never sent in my resume because I was scared to be rejected due to a lack of experience (which I was gaining at another magazine, not nearly as cool as BCL–well, unless you consider writing articles about anal incontinence cool. ;) Never would I have envisioned that 10 years later, I’d be so lucky to have my photography on the cover. If you’re interested in picking up a copy, you can find them at the GoggleWorks, at Barnes & Noble and other news outlets around town.

This is Ben, who I think looks an awful lot like a Ben, dontcha think? Maybe it’s just that my son’s friend Ben is a redhead and that makes me think of Bens as being redheads, but I think he was aptly named.

(Ben also has a talented grandma who knows how to make very cute knit hats and blankets…)

(and this is Ben showing me his 2-week-old muscles… ;)

And then this is Morgan. I’m not quite sure I have any pictures of her making muscles, but I tell you this: The little one is going to be walking before she turns one. Guarantee it. She was a strong and alert little girl whenever she was awake (which isn’t in any of these pictures, but just take my word for it, ;)…

And finally, this is Caroline, who is newly blessed and simply stunning in her first communion dress (despite not wanting to wear it again to have her portraits taken–that’s what I think living with two brothers will do to a girl!) Congratulations and blessings, sweet Caroline!

holiday card collection ‘09 | pennsylvania family photographer

Oooh! I’m so excited to introduce this year’s holiday card collection from the incomparable designer/photographer Jamie Schultz. Sure to make an impression (this isn’t a Target photo card–trust me!), your holiday card is beautifully press-printed on elegant pearl paper and UV coated for protection and durability through the mail. Sized at a generous 5×7 (with the exception of two that are 5×5), cards are available in a flat or folded style and have coordinating backs and interiors. Greetings may be changed, added and customized if you so choose.

And from now until November 1st, cards are 10% off for all clients who completed a non-fall/holiday mini session with me. (For a handful of clients who are just receiving or will shortly be receiving your proofs, you can reserve your cards now with the discount if you so choose.) Please call 610.223.9700 for details.

i think i’ll title this one “housekeeping” | pennsylvania photographer

Thank you SO SO SO much to all of my clients and new faces that stopped by the studio on Sunday. Each of your kids enters my heart when I’ve worked with them, and it’s always so exciting to see how much they’ve grown and changed, even if it’s been 2 years since I saw them last, or 2 months. It was exciting meeting some new kids and their parents (who I hope to photograph soon), as well, and particularly hearing about new brothers and sisters who are on their way!

The fall & holiday mini sessions will be beginning this weekend, and are completely booked for October, and possibly fully-b0oked for November. I can probably squeeze in one more client for the second week in November, and if the weather stays nice, I may extend the sessions one more week to the 22nd. If you’re interested, please let me know ASAP as I will definitely be closing my November calendar soon (though if you’re pregnant or just had a baby, I’ll always do my best to fit in a belly or a brand new baby! :)

If you’re thinking about a session for early ‘10, I’m going to be debuting a new documentary style session, and will be looking for a few special families to share a half day with you and your kids. Please keep your eyes on the blog for a special offer coming up soon after the fall sessions.

If you are waiting for your proofs, I promise to be in touch soon–things, as usual, have been busy and I am running a few weeks behind with proofing, which was just complicated by my computer deciding that it didn’t want to work quickly any longer. A new computer has arrived (if I could only find wake up and find all that I need installed on it!) and I am hoping to be zipping through sessions much quicker in the next two weeks. I am very much appreciative of your patience and understanding–thank you for sitting tight. :)

And finally, because I can’t post without pictures, I worked with two seniors (one’s a senior at Daniel Boone high school here in Berks County, the other at Cedar Crest High School in Lebanon County). I was a bad blogger trying to keep my mini session and open house info at the top of the blog for a few weeks, so I was waiting to post their sessions until the open house was over. Congrats on your senior years, Sammy & Steven, and best wishes!
