So big!
And one year old already! How did that happen? This is the fourth time he’s been in front of my camera during his first year (lucky boy gets a neat-o coffee table book chronicling his first year in photographs), and I have been so lucky and fortunate to watch him grow (and just get cuter and cuter every session–as if that were possible!)
Just two others from today’s session. Happy 1st birthday!

…and because I can’t resist those big, beautiful baby browns (even in B&W)…

126 days into wedded bliss, here’s a look at the day that began it all…

Ah, mid February! Spring is right around the corner (or so I keep telling myself!) and soon we’ll be thinking about warm weather, kids getting out of school and summer vacation. Actually, if you’re anything like me, you might actually be glancing through the vacation rentals now. ;)
Last year, while we were on vacation in Cape May, I met a local family in Ocean City for a really awesome beach session. This year, I’d be thrilled to work with another family wherever you’re vacationing (seriously–we’re not married to one beach in particular, and if we can make it work the same week you’re on vacation, we’ll do it). Beach sessions are not for those looking to all wear white shirts and blue jeans and pose perfectly in front of a sand dune: Instead, we’ll capture those relaxed and playful moments of your family–you know, those special moments of happiness that only happen when you’re breathing in salt air, listening to sea gulls and the crash of the waves, knowing that the piles of laundry and to-do work is sitting miles away…

with the most beautiful blue eyes. If anyone sees a drippy lens laying around Berks County, that would be mine. It just melted right into those baby blues. :)

I keep pleading and pleading with them to stay little, but despite my begging, they keep on having birthdays.
Happy 6th, Josh! I love you, baby!

Very seldom do newborns allow me to catch a good moment of them while they’re awake. Most often, they’re cross eyed, crying, making funny faces, moving their hands and legs uncontrollably, and so very rarely does one actually make eye contact with the camera since so few can actually focus on anything until they’re a little older. And of the newborns I’ve photographed, I’ve caught a few fleeting smiles of happily-dreaming newborns here and there. But never before has great eye contact and a slight smile come together at once, until Ruby…

I’ve got a new set of pictures to love.
I’ve been so lucky to photograph him since he was a newborn, and each time, I swear he just gets cuter.
*heart*
