(Or less, she hopes. :)

I don’t often do many maternities outside, but the fall color is just starting, so it was impossible to resist not taking them outdoors after we had finished the indoor, classic images. Believe it or not, the outdoor ones were taken in an office park near their home–as soon as I saw those red leaves that perfectly matched her shirt, I immediately pulled over and abandoned our plans to shoot at the park. It still amazes me how a little landscape “pocket” is all that’s needed to create a completely different aesthetic than the real-world one in which it was taken.

My warmest wishes for a smooth and easy labor and delivery and lots of guilt-free sleeping in on weekends, C&K! I’m looking forward to coming back to meet and photograph your baby when he/she arrives!
